Basil, Cilantro, Dill, Parsley

Annual herbs are grown for harvest in their first year of growth. Some like parsley may survive for a second year to set seed. All can be cut and enjoyed all summer, but since they’ll succumb to cold weather, they should be harvested before the first frost. Some annual herbs, such as dill, can self-seed if you allow it to bloom near the end of summer.

Annual Herb plants:
Basil
Borage (reseeds from year to year)
Calendula (pot marigold) (reseeds)
Chervil (reseeds)
Cilantro/Coriander (reseeds)
Dill (reseeds)
German Chamomile
Summer Savory
Parsley (lives two years, but is usually grown as an annual for best flavor)
