This delightful beginner's kit comes complete with everything you need to enter the wonderful world of bird watching! Bird watching is one of the fastest growing pastimes in the US and it is more important every day as habitat loss and use of pesticides and herbicides are impacting many species of birds, even in our area. Feeding the birds is one easy way to have a positive impact on the environment. The "fly through" bird feeder is especially useful to smaller birds such as chickadees and nuthatches and holds a reasonable amount of seed so the birds empty it fairly quickly and it does not become moldy. The beautiful feeder is hand crafted at Penwingle Farm. It is stained and treated to protect it from the elements.
